BACKGROUND

Since goTenna was founded, the mesh site went through 2 early iterations. With an incoming Series C funding round we wanted to uplift the brand while improving usability. Our design team worked on improving the UX of important flows, giving the brand a refresh with new colors and typography, while following accessibility best practices.

CONCLUSION

This was one of the first large projects where I was in a position to lead another designer. During this process I learned how to be more hands-off on the technical stuff and focus on strategy. It was a big milestone for her (designing her first major project) as well as myself in letting her handle the bulk of hands on design work.

goTenna is a great device for casual campers, hikers, and anyone else who wants to communicate off the grid.
