In the Mesh is an online magazine dedicated to cataloguing the political economy driving the burgeoning decentralization movement. The first large project I was pulled into early in my tenure at goTenna I was tasked the lead on the editorial design.

Approach
goTenna wanted to really make an impact with In the Mesh in order to crack into the decentralization / crypto movement which had a lot of wild west energy. They wanted something future thinking with a human touch. With that in mind I did not want to pull from the standard sources.

Solution
I heavily referenced alternative stock options. Doing deep dives into the national archives, wikimedia commons, reanimation library (rip), museums, google public domain search, and the like to create digital illustrations with a gritty, sci-fi vibe that spoke to the attitude of such a disruptive space.
