Lead UX Designer
Referencing our voice of customer reports from CX we learned that our customers need an efficient way to understand the mesh networking capabilities of goTenna and how it could solve their communication problems.
Struggles to communicate in remote areas where traditional networks are down.
Other applications are complex and make it difficult to send messages quickly.
Other hardware options are costly and inaccessible to most consumers.
Satellite phones and other off-grid options are heavy, and a lot to carry.
After gathering insights from our users we wanted to enable multiple, seamless avenues for users to make an informed purchase at multiple price points. To further understand how users move through the site we built out a Site map and some main user flows.
After establishing the main user flows we iterated on lo-fi prototypes, built out our UI Kit, and finalized the hi-fi prototype.

This was one of the first large projects where I was in a position to lead another designer. During this process I learned how to be more hands-off on the technical stuff and focus on strategy. It was a big milestone for her (designing her first major project) as well as myself in letting her handle the bulk of hands on design work.
